you and I

me and you, you and me

we, us, together

joined as one, remaining two

individuals

sharing the same space, thoughts and dreams

life, love, bed, car, home

everything

when one is down

the other, reaches out and

pulls the lesser up to an equal footing

walking hand in hand beside one another

together

if one is in need, the other lends a hand

all ways willing to go that extra mile

for your mate, your lover, your friend

being together, inseparable

indivisible

because

there is no "I" in "us"
